The Intermission Man lands in the top 20!

The Intermission Man placed 17th in the June Ourstage.com competition. Special thanks to all who visited the site and took the time to vote. It really does mean a lot to us. Stay tuned for more cool stuff coming from the LRP crew.

On a side note, I chopped the sideburns. Yes, I know they will be missed by most who had a chance to experience them, but rest assured, as soon as the money comes in for the full production of Blink...they will return! :) Keep visiting the LRP site for the Blink trailer. It should be done and available in the LRP Theater very soon.

Thanks again to all the folks out there who keep up with the productions and help out in a pinch. As well as those who take the time to watch, comment and come back for more of our stuff here. You'll never understand how incredibly important you are, not only to my film work, but to my mental health as well.

Keep on truckin'

Ah well...maybe next time

Well...the Act2 Ultimate Video Relay results were finally posted and my script didn't make the cut. Ah well, next act maybe. If any are interested, here is my Act 2 take on The Cube (you'll need Adobe Reader to see it). This "Relay" is an interesting idea and creates an interesting dilemma when writing. How to get all the info needed to progress the story in 5 pages or less. I think the Act 3 script will have an easier time, because the continuity won't need to be as stringent. Fun Fun.
On to more pressing matters. :)
I'm sooooo good at this.
So it's nearly a year later and I'm adding another blog entry. Goes to show how much I use the technology I support. Anyway, I got back from NY after having an AWESOME time on set with Russ, Craig and all the crew. The doc has been finished already (you can see it in the LRP Theater) and it looks great! The editor Justin Bird did a fantastic job of piecing together the footage.

Not much else happening on the filming front. We were set to go with principal photography on "Blink" and the money fell through. I have even grown some pretty thick mutton chops for the shoot. I'd also planned to cut about 10 inches of length from my hair. So now I'm planning to shoot a small trailer for it and cut these danged side burns. I look like a Welsh sailor.:) When summer hits I'll be sweatin like a pig out the side of my face. OOOOO..

In the meantime...Both "The Intermission Man" and "Shakespeare's Dead" are viewable from their IMDB web sites. And "The Intermission Man" will be screening at the AOF festival in July.
More to come (hopefully not a year from now though):)
Sittin in the Sac Airport

I'm chillin' here in the airport waiting for the plane to leave from NY to pick me up. It was supposed to leave from here at 11:59pm, but it's looking like we won't get in the air until 3am. zzzzzzzzzz.
I'm headed to NYC to assist in the making of the BTS doc for Russ Emanuel's new film "Driven". He was gracious enough to ask as well as pay for me to come to NY and shoot for the last 2 weeks of shooting. I really looking forward to it. I've never been to the Big Apple.
While I'm there I'm going to hook up with Chris Vallone (another very talented director) as well as my old friend Doree Green (she's married now, but I don't know her new last name :( ). I haven't seen Doree in about 12 years and am REALLY looking forward to catching up and meeting her family.
Soooo.....back to sitting and waiting.

Scott

Russ Emanuel's "PJ"
On Feb 25th and 26th, I had the great pleasure of working with Russ Emanuel on his first feature film "PJ". It was a blast to say the least. I'm currently working on editing the footage I shot during the shoot, for a mini-doc that should be included with the film's DVD. Check out some of the pictures of the shoot here

Scott
